These larger, hand-drawn illustrations are created at A4 scale (29.7 x 21cm), they allow more space to capture the character of your subjects, while retaining the charm and accessibility of coloured pencil work.

They are well suited to scenes from rural life or portraits of multiple animals or family members. Whether marking a milestone, celebrating a partnership, or preserving a familiar scene, these pieces carry more weight than the smaller keepsake illustrations whilst maintaining that illustrated charm.

Turnaround & Availability

To maintain quality and balance within my wider commissions diary, a limited number of A4 illustration bookings are available in advance.

Materials

All illustrations are created using professional-grade coloured pencils, including Faber-Castell Polychromos, Derwent Lightfast, and Caran d’Ache Pablo. Combined with an archival, acid-free drawing surface, this ensures lasting colour, clarity, and longevity.

How It Works

1. Book your A4 illustration via the website. Message me before booking if you need it by a specific date.

2. Email your reference photos to studiomckinney@outlook.com, along with any notes and key things I should know. Include your order number in the subject box.

3. I will confirm details and begin your illustration as agreed.
