Commissioned Animal Portraits

Commissioning an original artwork is a considered and deeply personal process. A bespoke portrait offers a way to honour a cherished companion, not only capturing likeness, but preserving character, presence, and individuality.

These are portraits of animals as they are known and remembered, created with sensitivity and care. Each piece is intended to be lived with for generations, a treasured memory rather than just a piece of decor.

I accept a limited number of commissions each year to ensure every artwork receives the time, focus, and craftsmanship it deserves.

All commissions are produced using the highest quality professional-grade materials, including archival fine art papers, boards and canvas. Every finished piece is professionally mounted and presented in a carefully selected frame, ready to take its place within your home.

The Commission Process:

Enquiry
You are invited to share a small selection of photographs, along with a few words about your animal — their character, history, and what you would like the portrait to convey.

Planning
Composition, scale, and overall approach are carefully considered to ensure the finished artwork reflects both the subject and its intended setting.

Creation
Your portrait is created with close attention to expression, tone, and presence, allowing the character of the animal to emerge naturally.

Presentation & Delivery
Once complete, your artwork is professionally finished, framed, and delivered ready to take its place within your home.

Subjects

Commissions are available for horses, dogs, and other animals by request. Each portrait is entirely bespoke, created with care to reflect the individuality of the subject.
